THE TEST.

Are you thinking about working in the sex industry in the Netherlands?
Do the following test, you can test yourself and find out if you already know enough or that you need to prepare

yourself better before going to  the Netherlands.
Being prepared is not enough. There is a third test to check out if prostitution is the right kind of job for your

personality
So the test is twofold: .

- To check if you have the right information.
- To check if you have the right mental attitude towards prostitution 

This test contains 9 different theme’s :

1) Age
2) Do you have the right documents? 
3) Knowledge of languages
4) Your starting point
5) Work experience
6) Finances, money for your trip etc
7) Your trip
8) Work and the money that you make
9) Place to live and the prices  

You will find out that some questions will be rated higher than others. For example you can only get a few points

for your knowledge of the Dutch situation.

The rating and the points for the questions will be found in a different document don’t look at this document before

finishing the test.

Sometimes the questions are multiple choice. For other questions you have to pick the answer that applies the most

to you or your situation.

Beware: Even if you score high on both tests it is not a guarantee that you will stay out of trouble.
Even a very emancipated and experienced prostitute can become the victim of a violent gang.

 

 

 

 

 

Age

If you are under 18 years old you are not allowed to work as a prostitute in the Netherlands.
You will be in a difficult situation if you are underage. You won’t go to jail but you can’t work.  .
Those who bring a under age person into prostitution will be going to jail for a long time.
The police is very strict on re enforcing this law and does regular controls for under age prostitutes.

Permit of resident, work permit

Prostitution is a legal and professional job in the Netherlands. Prostitutes also pay taxes.
But hat doesn’t mean that anyone is allowed to work as a prostitute in the Netherlands. It all depends on your
